Although the stock market is closed in the morning on the day of Diwali, but it is open for some time in the evening. On the occasion of the launch of Vikram Samvat 2079, Muhurt trading time in the country’s major stock exchanges BSE and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Diwali will be for one hour this year from 6.15 pm to 7.15 pm.
According to BSE, the pre-open session will start from 6 pm on October 24 and will end at 6.08 pm. After this, trading will start for common investors from 6.15 am, which will last for one hour till 7.15 pm. Investment is considered auspicious on the day of Diwali and on this day most of the big investors or companies buy and sell in the stock market.
Banks will be closed for two days this week
Except Muhurta trading, the stock market will not open in the morning on Diwali. That is, on the day of Diwali, anyone who has to invest will have only one hour. On Tuesday, the stock market will open again at the old time. There will be no business in the stock market on 26 October 2022 i.e. on Wednesday due to Diwali Baliprada. On the other hand, the market will be open for investors again on Thursday and Friday.
